Acting Profile

(Chrissy enters with a microphone looking for people to interview)

Chrissy: Madam, are you here to audition?

Mel. Why? What’s it to you?

Chrissy. We’re looking for people to interview.

Tom: Will we be on telly?

Mel. Will we get paid?

Chrissy. We don’t have enough money and even if we did we wouldn’t have enough money to pay the people we interview.

Tom. It’s the credit crunch again!

Mel: More like they need the money to pay Simon Cowell.

Tom. What about we give you the interview and you take us straight to the judges?

Chrissy. Follow me.

(The family follow Chrissy to a small room)

Chrissy. So what made you come here today?

Elaine We’ve put up with a lot of abuse in our lives. People have given us a lot of abuse for our talent.

Anthony. They’re jealous that’s all it is. But, when you insult my family you go too far.

Elaine. We’re no quitter’s and we’ve worked to get to the stage where we’re at now.

Mel. One guy told me he was an agent. He made my family work for him all summer then I found out he’d tricked us. He took advantage of me, but I know my family are better than that.
